The 4Eck is a casual, cosmopolitan lifestyle restaurant for fine dining on two floors in the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The ECK in the name stands for classy, cool & creative and the 4 for the pillars on which the concept is built: Sustainability, Mindfulness, Deceleration and Innovation. Those who come to 4Eck take a short break from everyday life in a cozy living room atmosphere and enjoy the excellent and unusual cuisine, complemented by selected wines and innovative drinks. The first floor with its open kitchen is usually lively and there is a lot to see, but if you are looking for more peace and quiet or want to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, we recommend the KARO room on the second floor. In summer, you can relax on warm summer nights in the secret garden with mountain views, which turns into a small enchanted forest at certain times in winter. The cuisine at the 4Eck restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is constantly being re-created and is - in a nutshell - surprisingly different, sometimes cheeky, fresh, innovative - but always sustainable and cleanly prepared.
Yannick Fehren
Mainz-born Yannick Fehren has been head chef at 4Eck since April 2025. After leaving school, the 33-year-old was drawn straight into the restaurant business. Not because his parents were self-employed for years - but precisely because of this. Yannick grew up with it and decided early on that he wanted to run his own business one day. After successfully completing his training as a chef at the Steigenberger “Connection” at Frankfurt Airport and at the Bergiusschule, he went on to work at Kempinski before supporting the family business at the time for a while and expanding his experience in large-scale catering, logistics and catering here and at another company in Frankfurt. Eventually, his path led him to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where he first got to know the hearty Bavarian cuisine before moving into fine dining with Johannes Wäger's team as Junior Sous Chef at Werdenfelserei. When the next generation was announced, Yannick moved to the highest position and took over the Panorama Restaurant on the Zugspitze as Sous Chef. Along the way, Yannick Fehren completed the trainer aptitude test and an F&B management course. He has now arrived at 4Eck, which he will take over in the long term. He shares the philosophy of sustainability and regionality with the current owners and is delighted to now have his own space and room for his creativity, which he has mainly used in the private sector in recent years. The team player, who prefers to spend his free time with his family, benefits from his diligence and determination and, of course, his wealth of ideas.
